Scarecrow Competition

Nabiac/Coolongolook and Krambach schools are all entering a scarecrow in our competition.  Each school will receive $100 each and the winner, voted for by the public, will receive a sash.  The scarecrows are going to be in the window of Shellie’s Country Wear at 7 Nabiac Street. There will be a bright pink wheelie bin which will hold the votes once the number that is being voted for has been written on the piece of paper. The scarecrows will all have a number written on a piece of paper around their necks, you choose which one you like and vote for it.  They will be on display about 4 weeks and the day before the show they will go down to the showgrounds so voting can continue on Saturday morning and the winner will be announced after the show has been opened.  There is no cost for voting and everyone is encouraged to support the children with their scarecrows and VOTE FOR WHICH ONE YOU THINK IS THE BEST.

Nabiac Business Window competition

We encourage business’s to decorate their windows along the agricultural and horticultural theme.  All shops who enter, will have a number placed in their window and the ‘mystery’ judge will judge who they deem to best the best window. The windows, (including the show committee window at Farm & Home) will be displayed for a month prior to the show and the winner will be announced after the winning scarecrow.  Please support the business’s that are taking part and those who do not have the window display space will participate by having posters in their windows.

The café, next to the Nabiac Hotel has advertising running on their television in the shop on a rolling basis along with photos by Di Wiley.  If you are having a cuppa or something to eat, have a look and see what’s going to be on at the show.
